193 Hose (5593)

111 Hose

This hose is generally used in low pressure vacuum and air for aircraft instruments. The specifications are MIL-H-5593, and used to be AN6270 hose assemblies. This is the only hose available in -2 size. All sizes can be optioned with orange type firesleeve.

• SPECIFICATIONS: 
Hose meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-H-5593.

• CONSTRUCTION: 
TUBE - Seamless Buna-N
REINFORCEMENT - one braid of high tensile fiber cord
COVER - Synthetic rubber

• IDENTIFICATION: 
LP-MIL-H-5593, date of manufacturer's code marked on one side of hose. Stratoflex 193 marked on other side of hose . Yellow markings are repeated at least every 12 inches.

• APPLICATION: 
Low pressure air and vacuum instrument systems. Vacuum service 20 Hg sizes -2 thru -6; 10 Hg sizes -8 and -10.

• TEMPERATURE RANGE:
-65 to 165 F (-54 TO +74 C)

NOTE: This hose is sometimes used in fuel and oil instrumentation. It is commonly used in AC drains also.

111 Hose (8794)

111 Hose

This hose type has been the standard of the industry since the 1950’s. It is a medium to high pressure rated, rubber hose, used with standard MIL-A-5070 reusable fittings. Fittings utilized can be Straight, 45 or 90 degree elbows, and orange type firesleeve is available as an option, when used in the engine compartment. These hose assemblies are generally lower in price than the Teflon equivalent in smaller, general aviation sizes. These are also the most common standard hose assemblies for most general aviation brake caliper hydraulic lines, and pedal to master cylinder lines.

• SPECIFICATIONS: 
Hose meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-H-8794. Hose assemblies meet/exceed the requirements of MIL-H-8795, and fittings that of MIL-A-5070.

• CONSTRUCTION: 
TUBE -
Seamless synthetic rubber
REINFORCEMENT - One fiber braid and one high tensile steel wire braid
COVER - Fiber braid impregnated with oil and mildew resistant rubber

• IDENTIFICATION: 
Stratoflex name and part number; specification number, size number, quarter and year of manufacturer, and federal identification code is marked on the layline of the hose.

• APPLICATION: 
Aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, coolant, fuel and oil systems per  MS33620 & MIL-H-8795

• TEMPERATURE RANGE:
Size -4 thru -12: -65 to +250F (-54to +121C)
Size -16: -48 to +250F (-40 to + 121C)

130 Hose

111 Hose

This hose is a great hose for general aviation fuel and oil applications. It is lighter weight than the 111 series, and has a superior bend radius vs, the MIL-H-8794 hose. For instance, on a -6 hose, the MIL-H 8794 hose has 4” bend radius, and the -6 130 hose has a 2.5” bend radius. It also has a smaller envelope than other rubber hoses. If you are looking for a lighter weight hose, with a great bend radius, and have tight working areas, this is probably your best choice. Fittings are available in straight, 45 and 90 degree, and assemblies are made with special mandrels and tooling. Orange type firesleeve can be added to the hose assemblies for engine compartment applications.

• CONSTRUCTION: 
TUBE - Seamless buna-N compounded inner tube
REINFORCEMENT - One fiber braid, one wire braid of high tensile steel wire
COVER - Synthetic rubber-impregnated, oil resistant fiber braid. The cover is black in color.

• PROOF TEST: 
Hydrostatic pressure test at two times recommended operating pressure.

• APPLICATION: 
Medium pressure service with petroleum base fuel and oil.

• TEMPERATURE RANGE:
Oil or Fuel: -40 to +300 F
Oil or Fuel (Not Flexing): -65 to +300 F
Oil and Air Mixtures: -40 to +250 F

156 Hose

This hose has a lightweight HSP elastomer rubber liner a braided steel cover. Fittings are generally anodized aluminum or steel in smaller sizes. This hose also has one of the smallest bend radiuses, along with the 130 hose. It is lightweight, and can be optioned with orange firesleeve or the “H” integral type firesleeve. Fittings can be flare (37 degree) or flareless, and are available in straight, 45 and 90 degree as well as flange assemblies.

• SPECIFICATIONS: 
Meets the dimensional requirements and meets or exceeds the functional requirements of MIL-H-83797 with an improved inner tube of seamless HSP elastomer for better high temperature resistance and essentially unlimited shelf life.

• CONSTRUCTION: 
TUBE - Seamless HSP elastomer
REINFORCEMENT - One and one-half corrosion resistant steel wire braids

• APPLICATION: 
Medium pressure service with most petroleum base oils, JP fuels, aviation gasoline,MIL-L7808 and MIL-l-23699 lubricants, and many synthetic base fluids. Not affected by alcohols, coolants, and solvents common to the aerospace industry. Avgas or Mogas has no adverse effect on the HSP innertube.

• TEMPERATURE RANGE:
- 65 to +300 F (- 55 to +149 C)

NOTE: Stratoflex 156 hose is now produced with HSP innertube and thus 156 and 176 and assemblies are identical in qualification and performance.

This hose is generally called “Teflon” because it uses a PTFE liner tube. The liner tube is coated with a carbon black component, which is electrically conductive, and is the means for discharging static electricity by grounding to the hose ends. This hose generally has an unlimited (bulk) shelf life, and the fittings are stainless steel, and attached to the hose by means of a hydraulic crimping device. Fittings are straight, 45 and 90 degree, and are available in flare (37 degree) or flareless types. Orange type firesleeve is available as a cover option. This style hose is rated for medium pressure (1500 PSI) for general aviation applications up to size -10, then decreasing pressure ranges for larger diameter assemblies.

• SPECIFICATIONS: 
Meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-H-27267(bulk hose) , AS1946 and MIL-H-25579.

• CONSTRUCTION: 
TUBE - Extruded, conductive polytetrafluoroethylene. Electrical conductivity conforms to MIL-DTL-25579.
REINFORCEMENT - Sizes -3 thru -12: one corrosion resistant steel wire braid. Sizes -16Z thru -24Z: two corrosion resistant steel wire braids.
               
• PROOF PRESSURE: 
Hydrostatic pressure test at twice the rated working pressure.

• APPLICATION: 
High temperature aircraft fuel, hydraulic, ballistic, pneumatic, lube oils, coolants, solvents, most missile fuels and oxidizers.

• TEMPERATURE RANGE:
-65 to +450 F (-54 to +232C)

NOTE: *Size -3 (3/16”) is not covered by MIL-H-25579 or MIL-H-27267, but manufactured and tested to the intent thereof.

124J Hose

This hose has the integral brown firesleeve, which is extruded on the reinforcement, and it is called “Extruded Teflon Firesleeve Hose” because it uses a PTFE liner tube, and has the integral firesleeve built into the hose.  The liner tube is coated with a carbon black component, which is electrically conductive, and is the means for discharging static electricity by grounding to the hose ends. This hose generally has an unlimited (bulk) shelf life, and the fittings are stainless steel, and attached to the hose by means of a hydraulic crimping device. Fittings are straight, 45 and 90 degree, and are available in flare (37 degree) or flareless types. This style hose is rated for medium pressure (1500 PSI) for general aviation applications up to size -10, then decreasing pressure ranges for larger diameter assemblies.

• SPECIFICATIONS: 
Meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-H-27267(bulk hose) , and MIL-H-25579. Similar to AS1723

• CONSTRUCTION: 
TUBE - Extruded, conductive polytetrafluoroethylene. Electrical conductivity conforms to MIL-DTL-25579.
REINFORCEMENT - Sizes -3 thru -12: one corrosion resistant steel wire braid. Sizes -16Z thru -24Z: two corrosion resistant steel wire braids.
COVER - Integral fire resistant silicone

124K Hose

This hose has the blue braided polyester abrasion resistant cover, which designed to withstand repeated abrasion cycles, and is a  “Teflon” hose because it uses a PTFE liner tube. The liner tube is coated with a carbon black component, which is electrically conductive, and is the means for discharging static electricity by grounding to the hose ends. This hose generally has an unlimited (bulk) shelf life, and the fittings are stainless steel, and attached to the hose by means of a hydraulic crimping device. Fittings are straight, 45 and 90 degree, and are available in flare (37 degree) or flareless types. This style hose is rated for medium pressure (1500 PSI) for general aviation applications up to size -10, then decreasing pressure ranges for larger diameter assemblies. This hose is typically used where extra protection from the elements is needed, such as external brake line hoses.

• SPECIFICATIONS: 
Meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-H-27267(bulk hose) , AS1946 and MIL-H-25579.

• CONSTRUCTION: 
TUBE - Extruded, conductive polytetrafluoroethylene. Electrical conductivity conforms to MIL-DTL-25579.
REINFORCEMENT - Sizes -3 thru -12: one corrosion resistant steel wire braid. Sizes -16Z thru -24Z: two corrosion resistant steel wire braids.
               
• PROOF PRESSURE: 
Hydrostatic pressure test at twice the rated working pressure.

• APPLICATION: 
High temperature aircraft fuel, hydraulic, ballistic, pneumatic, lube oils, coolants, solvents, most missile fuels and oxidizers.

• TEMPERATURE RANGE:
-65 to +275 F (-54 to +135C) Sustained temperature limit of polyester cover.

NOTE: *Size -3 (3/16”) is not covered by MIL-H-25579 or MIL-H-27267, but manufactured and tested to the intent thereof

171 Hose

111 Hose

This Teflon hose is used for  high pressure rated assemblies, has unlimited shelf life, and is lightweight, with a small bend radius. It can used with flare, flareless or flange type fittings in stainless steel, and orange firesleeve is an option. It is pressure rated for 3000lbs. General Aviation aircraft do not require a hose with such high working pressures generally.

• SPECIFICATIONS: 
Meets or exceeds the requirements of AS1339 (formerly MIL- H-38360).

• CONSTRUCTION:
TUBE - Extruded conductive aerospace polytetrafluoroethylene
REINFORCEMENT - High density braid of small diameter corrosion resistant steel wire.

• PROOF PRESSURE: 
Hydrostatic pressure test at twice the rated working pressure.

• APPLICATION: 
High temperature and high pressure aircraft and missile hydraulic systems.

• TEMPERATURE RANGE:
-65 to +400 F (-54 to +204 C)
